Lockdown ~ The upside
Parveen took the best of structure and fluidity to implement a robust routine that balances her personal and professional commitments. To this, she added her love for home improvement projects and refreshed the space to accommodate the necessities of working from home. Decorating is beyond putting things up on a wall as it requires thought and planning which Parveen excels at. Parveen also welcomed the additional me time to cultivate healthier eating habits. She refers to Chuppy as her pride and joy. She adds, “Chuppy also finds the opportune moment to engage me in play as he is always by my side throughout my working day.”
The flipside ~ Lockdown
Reduced socials with friends and loved ones dimmed Parveen’s spirits but she always made the time to connect. This was fundamental to her and lockdown did not stop her from checking in and sharing tested and treasured moments with people that mattered. Closed borders sealed travel plans. Parveen shares “not being able to travel or have holidays was really hard. I enjoy being surrounded by the sun, sand and sea.” Her home redecoration was a way of infusing her love of travel into her living space.
Daily routines, gardening and exploring new music content kept things lively
Parveen made most of her meals at home and implemented a healthy diet. To ensure she was consistent in her practice; Parveen dedicated a day in the week to prepare a variety of dishes that kept her nourished mentally, emotionally and physically. She perfected dishes she was good at, crafted plates that inspired her during travels and sweet memories with loved ones. Gardening was Parveen’s time in nature and content sharing of music and movies kept conversations with loved ones lively.

“If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to weather the storm. After the rain, always comes the sunshine. Learn from the past, appreciate each present moment and plan for the future.”

“Irrespective of what comes your way, embrace the journey of life and blossom gracefully.”
How would you summarise your growth during lockdown?
“It emphasized the importance of loved ones and relationships. Developed patience and resilience. Kept focused, happy and energetic.”
