How was the Ideation or play and pour it all out phase? Did you have fun? More importantly, were you surprised to see the wealth of content within you? If you said yes to any of the above or nodded your head, super well done.
If you did not or were unsure whether to say yes or no; good on you too. For you my friend, it is about revisiting the Soul Searching or discovery phase once more. I’ll also suggest a quick review of the Flow in Five philosophy so you can make the flow work with you and for you.
Moving on to PRIORITISATION
What is the goal of Prioritisation or the What to do now phase?
The goal of Prioritisation is to sort out. In the same way as you would organise your notes or folders by categories or topics; in prioritisation, the shape of the triangle is used as a reference to create the 4 tiers.
What are the 4 tiers?
Tier 1: The Must Do
Tier 2: Scheduling
Tier 3: Delegation
Tier 4: Flushing
Can you explain a bit more about the 4 tiers?
Tier 1: The Must Do
The Must Do is something that has to be done and includes areas of high importance or value.
Tier 2: Scheduling
Scheduling refers to things that need doing but you can decide when to do it. A little investment in your calendar planning can do wonders for you here.
Tier 3: Delegation
Delegation is an extension of working smart and fosters community spirit and collaboration. It is about preserving you so you do not burn your bandwidth trying to do everything.
Tier 4: Flushing
Consider this as a detox and get all the yucky, not so great stuff out of your system. For instance: doubting yourself and obsessing on likes on your social posts. These bits are unhealthy, a waste of your time and resources. Time is of the essence, use it well.
What’s In the Guide to Prioritisation?
The Guide to Prioritisation offers an introduction to the Prioritisation Worksheet, sets a goal and provides interactive prompts to complete this Worksheet.
